Recording "Ground Runnin'" With NRg
June - December 2012
I was featured on 4 songs on NRg's album that was recorded in 2012; "Fire 2012", "Move", "Runaway" and "Jihad". ( I recorded under the name Alemaa because that was my stage name at the time...long story which will be explained in my bio. ) I wrote most of the lyrics and melodies for them and NRg and his producer, Skip Wayne, seemed to like them quite a bit. It was a real blast working with them. Had it not been for that experience, I wouldn't have recorded my first album...Skip liked my work ethic and brought me on, so here I am. God is great.
Recording My First Album
June 2012 - November 2013
It has been a really awesome experience recording my album with producer Skip Wayne. Skip is talented beyond measure and has that "ear for music". We worked together long enough to where he knew what we'd like and what we wouldn't. He was so easy to work with, but he put me in my place if he thought I needed it, and I appreciated that. (I can turn on the diva switch whenever I want, but the studio is not the place for it.) NRg, Ja'Nae and Brie, and my cousin Lynette "Shylynstar" Simpson all appear on the album. The first single is called "Suga Baby", which is receiving airplay around the world. It's about how wonderful it is when a good man knows how to make his woman feel like a queen. It's an exciting time and I'm so thrilled to finally see my dreams come to fruition.

I have finally completed recording my album! It has been a long, arduous, tedious, wonderful, gorgeous, orgasmic labour of love! I am almost sorry to see it end, but I know it's just the beginning of things to come. We've completed 12 songs, each of them different in their own right. They all tell stories about different things I've experienced in my life, that I know you'll identify with if you've been through a few things such as I have. I can hardly wait to share these stories with you. I am so sorry for the constant changes in dates for when it will be released...you know how this business is with delays. But it will be out soon, is all I can say. Hang in there with me, y'all! Thanks!
